JOB PROFILE

Technical Product Owner to join our Identity Resolution team – a team of expert engineers and data scientists dedicated to building state-of-the-art search and match algorithms entirely from scratch. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll own the product vision and direction for one of the most technically exciting areas of our business.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the roadmap – Define and prioritise the product vision and backlog for our identity resolution capability, with a clear focus on data-led decisions and outcomes.
Champion delivery – Manage the team’s ADO (Azure DevOps) board and delivery processes to ensure the team stays focused and effective.
Lead with insight – Work closely with engineers and data scientists to deeply understand our matching models and methodologies – and steer implementation based on real performance and measurable improvements.
Balance business needs – Partner with stakeholders to understand their goals, while guiding them toward solutions that are backed by data, evidence, and real-world feasibility.
Push the boundaries – Explore the use of AI, machine learning, and advanced data techniques to continuously improve and evolve our matching capabilities.
Support future vision – Help set the stage for a future where Search and Match are unified, enabling a more scalable and intelligent platform.

The responsibilities detailed above are not exhaustive and you may be requested to take on additional responsibilities deemed as reasonable by their direct line manager.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role in a data-driven or algorithm-focused team.
Some familiarity with identity resolution, but what’s most important is a strong understanding of how data science can be used to improve complex decision-making processes like matching and classification.
Confidence in working closely with engineering and data science teams, able to take part in technical discussions and understand the implications of algorithmic choices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you’re comfortable explaining why a data-driven approach might diverge from an initial request, and you can do it with clarity and conviction.
The ability to own the delivery pipeline – managing priorities, organising work, and ensuring smooth, effective execution.
A growth mindset – eager to improve, challenge assumptions, and build systems that genuinely move the needle.
