JOB PROFILE
The primary responsibility of the Internal Auditor is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services that support Creditsafe in achieving its objectives. This is accomplished through a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes
Your role will involve conducting both assurance and consulting engagements in accordance with the required standards, focusing on assessing and evaluating governance and business process risks and controls. You will also be expected to prepare internal audit standards and procedures that align with business requirements, aiming to establish best practice where feasible.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducting risk-based internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and regulations, and overall operational efficiency
• Identifying areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement
• Preparing detailed audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure audit findings are addressed and resolved
• Assisting in the development and implementation of audit plans and programs
• Assisting in the upkeep of internal audit policies, standards, procedures, and other audit documentation
• Reviewing internal audits undertaken on behalf of junior internal audit team members in accordance with the required standards and expectations
• Relationship management of key stakeholders involved in the internal audit process.
• Consultant to the business on current certifications and frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, ISO22301, SOC 2 etc.)
• Collaborate with the business on acquisition of new certifications and frameworks
• Assisting with preparation for external audits
• Continuous professional development
• Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in internal auditing
• Ad hoc tasks to support the Audit & Risk Manager
**Please note that the responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive and the Service Delivery Team Leader may be requested to perform additional duties / take on additional responsibilities deemed reasonable by their direct line manager.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience of internal auditing
• Effective relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding of the importance of culture and good governance
• Experience of demonstrating ethical practices based on honesty, integrity, objectivity, and transparency
• Experience of providing consultancy on important business objectives and aspirations (e.g., certifications)
• Experience of supporting the preparation for external audits
• Knowledge of certifications and frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC 2
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
