The successful applicant will be responsible for legal and compliance matters within Creditsafe’s UK business. This will include managing customer and supplier contract templates (including keeping precedent documentation up to date), assisting and advising in the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, managing legal disputes and ensuring that the company’s internal compliance requirements are fulfilled, including  with regards to consumer information, FCA regulations and data protection compliance.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

• Act as the primary point of contact for all legal and compliance matters within the UK business, liaising with head office colleagues where appropriate
• Oversee and manage legal contracts and compliance documentation, including commercial contract templates (customer and supplier), drafting bespoke agreements, and internal process documentation (sales, customer due diligence, queries etc.)
• Assist sales personnel in communications with customers regarding legal and compliance matters, including on contract negotiations, tender responses, internal policy and procedure, and related enquiries
• Assist in the management of supplier relationships, including advising on and negotiating supplier contracts
• Guide and advise customer support teams and the management team with legal matters when needed, including dealing with customer contract infringements, complaints, and other legal or compliance disputes/ queries
• Support the business with its data protection compliance, including advice on the GDPR and other relevant legislation and the implications of Brexit
• Assessing the impact of new and changed laws, regulations and case law that impact contractual relationships and provide advice to the relevant business areas


• Must be educated to a relevant undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree level
• Must be a qualified Solicitor (preferably 1 year to 5 years PQE), with some commercial law experience (particularly in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts).
• Experience within financial & data industries and/or in-house legal experience is an advantage but is not required

Remuneration Package

• Basic Salary – negotiable dependent on experience
